Trading System Support Analyst

The Analyst will provide support for the real-time trading system, manage and improve operational infrastructure, and triage front-office technical issues.  The role covers a wide range of responsibilities including general infrastructure development, troubleshooting of production issues, maintenance, development of front office reports, communication with counterparties, and coordination with other IT groups around releases and upgrades.  The position involves heavy interaction with developers, quants, and traders and coordination with remote support staff.  Although the group trades globally, the position does not presuppose an around-the-clock support–that responsibility is shared with other team members.

The ideal candidate will have: strong developer skills including familiarity with scripting languages like Python and Perl, UNIX experience, excellent communication skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability and drive to identify the source of problems and pursue them to resolution.  Prior financial markets knowledge is preferred but not required; basic understanding of probability and statistics is also beneficial.
