Lucidus Capital Partners LLP. hires John Robbins
John Robbins, formerly at Elliott Management Corp., started work today at credit hedge fund Lucidus Capital Partners LLP. Robbins joins as a research analyst in the New York office, Simon Meadows, head of business development at Lucidus in London, confirmed by e-mail today. He left Elliott Management earlier this year.
AQR Re hires two reinsurance veterans to senior management team
Bermuda headquartered AQR Re, the reinsurance arm of Greenwich, CT investment management firm AQR Capital Management, has announced the hiring of two senior reinsurance industry executives to its senior management team, expanding its presence in Bermuda. The two executives are John M. Lummis, who has been hired to the role of Chief Executive Officer, and Paul L. Karon , who joins AQR Re as Vice Chairman
Stream Capital hires Katherine Hill for increasing secondary private equity demand
Stream Capital SA has hired Katherine Hill as Director covering secondary alternative investment fund transfers for their Geneva office. Katherine will be responsible for secondary transactions of hedge funds and private equity funds with a focus on secondary directs and will also be part of the firm’s expansion into capital raising for alternative funds.
Credit hedge fund hires former UBS debt trading co-head Nakum
Former co-head of debt trading in the US for UBS heads to New York hedge fund, Bloomberg reports.
Keeyeol Nam, joined Tilden Park Capital Management LP to expand the hedge- fund firm’s trading in government-backed mortgage bonds.
Nam joined the $1.6 billion New York-based firm founded by former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. trader Josh Birnbaum last week as managing director, Tilden Park said yesterday in a letter to investors obtained by Bloomberg News. Nam will also help the firm increase its trading in mortgage derivatives.
Hedge fund firm Palmer Square Capital Management hires industry veteran Jeffrey Fox
Palmer Square Capital Management, an investment management firm that provides portfolios of structured credit, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and hedge fund strategies to a wide range of investors, today announced that Jeffrey Fox has joined the team as executive director.
Reporting to Angie Long, Palmer Square’s chief investment officer, Mr. Fox’s primary focus will be on managing the analytics, trading and modeling behind the firm’s structured credit and CLO platform. He will also play a key role in new product development and working with the rating agencies. Mr. Fox draws upon more than a decade of fixed income experience, most recently serving as a managing director at Sandler O’Neill and Partners, where he focused on the structuring and sales of a wide range of products, including CLOs. His experience also includes the restructuring of various credit legacy positions for European institutions as well as responsibility for the modeling of corporate rating and pricing for structured products. Jeff was also a member of the FAST organization at JPMorgan Chase & Co./ Bear Stearns, where he focused on the structuring of various credit investment products.
